Peppe Di Giorgio

Peppe Di Giorgio, an Italian model whose photos are stolen by scammers

Peppe Di Giorgio

Peppe Di Giorgio came to modeling late: he describes himself first as a house painter, and became a model at the age of 45.

His professional life changed thanks to Instagram. He created a profile for fun and was quickly contacted by an agent who saw his potential. Things moved fast: he appeared in an advertisement on his 45th birthday. His Instagram account, where the man with the salt-and-pepper beard regularly posts photos of himself, had more than 30,000 followers in 2023.

His photos on fake profiles

Some scammers used his many photos to create fake profiles on dating sites and on social media such as Facebook. The same happened to other Italian models, such as Francesco Monte and Andrea Zanchini.

The scammers contact women online. If they reply, the seduction operation starts. Once the woman is in love with a virtual profile, a problem suddenly happens, from a lost bank card to a serious accident, and she is asked to send money.

Never send money to people met on the internet: these are romance scams. More stolen faces: photos used by scammers.
