Melissa Harrington (Melissa Midwest), an adult performer whose photos are used by scammers
Melissa Harrington, better known under the stage name Melissa Midwest, created an amateur adult website at the age of 21. Within three years, it had become very successful.
She then launched a contest to find another young woman she could help succeed, which led her to create a second website with her. She also runs an online shop and sells self-produced videos.
Photos that attracted scammers
Young, attractive, with many photos available online: for scammers, this is unfortunately an ideal profile. They quickly created fake profiles using her photos, as they did with other adult models such as Raven Riley, Shelby Belle and Ann Angel.
Once the profiles are created, the scammers contact men by every possible means: dating sites, contact requests on social networks, even emails. When contact is established, they use flattery, suggestive photos and terms of endearment in every sentence.
Then comes the request for money: a little money “to fill the fridge”, or a large hospital bill. Never give in, not even for a small amount. Learn more about romance scams and see the photos used by scammers.
