Aria Giovanni was born on November 3, 1977 in Long Beach, California. Her real name is Cindy Renee Preto. She is the middle child of three siblings.

Growing up, she was shy and struggled in social situations. “I was never considered popular or one of the pretty girls in school.” In high school, Aria Giovanni said she was never asked out and went unnoticed.

She did well in school, which allowed her to skip her sophomore year. She began her freshman year at age 14. “I wore men’s clothes and khakis. My chest was so big I couldn’t fit into anything. I didn’t know how to wear clothes”.

At 12, she entered rehab for drug and alcohol problems. Then, after getting clean, she finished high school and attended college in San Diego, where she majored in biochemistry. To help pay the bills, she worked as a waitress and tutor in math and science, as well as a model.

Aria Giovanni choosed a career in modeling

After answering newspaper ads in October 1999, she appeared on amateur websites. But it was with the help of Aimee Sweet that Aria Giovanni met photographer Suze Randall, who helped her get in touch with Penthouse magazine.

Around the same time, Aria Giovanni transferred to the University of California at San Diego. But she didn’t stay there long in order to focus on modeling. “I knew I could always go back to school, but I probably couldn’t go back to modeling.”

Her photos are mostly solo or implied lesbian content. “I don’t like to be completely shaved…a lot of my photography is completely natural and looks like a real girl.” She said, “I don’t do hardcore. I draw the line… I really try to portray who I am as a person who has feelings.”

But Aria Giovanni’s sexy photos have also attracted romance scam artists. They spoofed the American model’s photos and created fake profiles on social networks or dating sites. Then they contacted men to seduce them. Once seduced, thescammers ask for money to their contacts by pretending a problem: empty fridge, illness, accident …
