Peter Hajdu is a Hungarian television presenter and producer. His photos are used by scammers.
Péter Hajdú was born in Budapest on April 11, 1975. In his youth, he studied business and graduated from the Budapest University of Economics. He also holds a diploma from the journalism school of the Association of Hungarian Journalists (MÚOSZ).
Together with a former classmate, Anita Tornóczky, he founded a production company and began producing television programs. He rose to fame in his home country with the show NÉVshowR, which he co-hosted with his mentor, Gábor Dömsödi. Later, he hosted the shows Esti Frizbi and Frizbi.
His wife is the model Kata Sarka; they married on August 16, 2008, at St. Stephen’s Basilica in Budapest. They have two children: Noémi (born 2009) and Dávid (born 2010).
Since May 2020, Péter Hajdú has served as CEO of Media Vivantis Zrt, the company behind the Life TV and Ozone TV channels. These channels are owned by Beatrix Mészáros, the ex-wife of Lőrinc Mészáros, who is reputed to be the richest man in Hungary.
An eventful career
Despite his successful career, he has unfortunately had to contend with the scourge of romance scams. No, he has not had money stolen by online scammers himself; rather, his photos are being used without his knowledge to perpetrate fraud.
Other television presenters have also seen their photos used fraudulently by scammers. These include Ravan Bashirov (Azerbaijan), Tony Baroud (Lebanon), Andreas Moravec (Austria), and Carlos Fraga (Venezuela).
Scammers create fake profiles using the Hungarian presenter’s photos. Then, they approach women on dating sites. Next, they try to woo them by showering them with sweet words. But sooner or later, these scammers always end up asking their contacts for money.
If you meet a man online whose profile features photos of Péter Hajdú, run! It is undoubtedly a scammer, likely based in Africa. Don’t waste your time—and certainly not your money.
