Paulo Brunetti, an Argentine actor whose photos are used by scammers
Paulo Brunetti was born on October 19, 1973 in Puerto Deseado, in the province of Santa Cruz, Argentina. At 20, he left Puerto Madryn to live alone in Buenos Aires and become an actor. At 25, he graduated from the National Conservatory of Dramatic Art.
During his stage career, he received several awards, including the José María Vilches award and the Starfish award for “Lejana tierra mía”. His first television role came in 1999, in the teen series “Verano del ’98”, followed by many other Argentine series.
A familiar face in South America
In 2008, he was cast in a Chilean series and crossed the border. It was the start of a second career on Chilean television, with roles in about fifteen telenovelas in fifteen years. He has also appeared in several films.
Despite his popularity in South America, scammers use his photos to illustrate fake profiles on dating apps. The same has happened to many Argentine actors, such as Diego Soldano and Juan Soler, or Ramiro Fumazoni.
Once the fake profiles are created, the scammers contact women on dating sites and try to seduce them. Their goal is not to meet anyone: it is to get money, with an urgent need invented from scratch. This is a romance scam. More stolen photos: photos used by scammers.
