The stolen photos of Harris Narancic
Harris Narancic has had his photos used without his consent. Scammers use them to carry out scams on dating sites.
Little is known about Harris Narancic, apart from the fact that scammers use many of his photos for romance scams. He is a victim of these scammers too.
This is not the first time scammers have used photos of people without a public career. Other examples are the man we nicknamed the bright-eyed scammer and the soldiers listed on the page Military men.
The method is well known. Scammers collect photos published on the internet, usually of a rather attractive person, because the scam relies largely on seduction. They create fake profiles on social media or dating sites, then approach women and try to charm them by posing as the ideal man.
From fairy tale to hell
Once the relationship is well established, the scammer claims that a tragedy has just happened, such as an accident or an assault, and that he urgently needs money. It starts with small amounts, for travel costs or an emergency, and he insists, even harasses, until he gets them.
If the victim gives in, the requests gradually increase, often with claims of a desperate situation that requires immediate help. Never send money to a person you do not really know, especially when the requests come step by step.
Other faces used by scammers are on the page photos used by scammers.
