Felix Baumgartner is an extreme skydiver whose photos are used by scammers to commit internet scams
Born in Salzburg, Austria in 1969, Felix Baumgartner started skydiving at the age of 16. He extended his skills in the Austrian army demonstration and competition team.
In 1988 he started performing skydiving exhibitions for Red Bull. Over the years, he has become one of the most famous Red Bull athletes in the world.
In the 1990s, Felix Baumgartner felt he had gone as far as he could with traditional skydiving. So he extended his skills with “BASE jumping” – skydiving from a fixed point – one of the most extreme and dangerous sports.
Felix Baumgartner has achieved 14 world records with his BASE jumps all over the planet. He is a pioneer who paved the way for all skydivers around the world, for whom he is a great inspiration. Besides BASE jumps, he was the first in the world to cross the English Channel with a carbon fiber wing. He was also the first to compete while flying alongside an airplane… and the list of his daring and so dangerous activities remains open…
With the Red Bull STRATOS project, on October 14, 2012, Felix Baumgartner achieved the ultimate goal. That day he became the first human being to break the speed of sound in free fall. He jumped from the stratosphere – his outstanding achievement also provided important scientific data that has never been available before.
This jump from the stratosphere made him famous all over the world. However, this did not prevent some scammers from usurping his photos. Thus, scammers have created fake profiles on dating sites using the photos of Felix Baumgartner. Then, they tried to seduce women to ultimately convince them to have money sent to them. Never send money to people you have met on the Internet !
